What a dump this place is.I recently just started at this place, I was told to come in at 1:15PM before my shift would start at 2PM and I was told when I came in to work to wait in a room for 5 minutes until the person who was supposing to be showing me around was ready. Ended up waiting for over 40 minutes and then had a 2 minute chat with her and that was that.Then she finally took me around the warehouse and before I entered the mens changing room and I saw a person from the induction. I asked him how was your first day here? He then said look at my cloths and he was covered in cake mix even tho he was wearing overall. He all so said that it was a bad job to do standing around for 8 hours with people that don't speak and English.I thought to my self it can't be that bad, can it?I was eventually taken to where the mixing department was. I was past to pillar to post by everyone there.Most people here are Polish and have little respect for the British that work here because it's nearly 95% Polish and 5% British.When I was weighing the sugar. I noticed that there was a lot of little fly's around the sugar and where they make the Icing for the cakes.Also when you detach the trough pump from the other machine I noticed that a little bit of icing would come out and what they told me to be was scoop the left over icing using my hand and throw it in the trough. So much for Hygiene.I felt I was unwanted, not respected and everything they said to me was a lie just to get me through into that place.If you have read my review and If you are still after getting a job here couple of this that will help you out.Also when my shift finally finished I had to wait 35 minutes because a door was locked and it had my car keys, wallet,phone, coat and trainers inside. 1. Speak Polish 2. Get ready to do a lot of over time3. If you have no self respect this could be the job for you.For people that have self respect look else where. you will not regret it. Now I can see why they have a lot of jobs going here.
As a artic driver the access is poor. You have to queue on double yellow lines and reverse in on your blind side. Staff are friendly enough. But it can get realy busy. You could be in for a long wait and watch out for the traffic wardens.
Friendly staff . Access quite easy but a bit of a slope to contend with but easy to cope with
I used to work there. Nice people, good team work.
If this company happens to be on your route sheet then bear in mind prepare for the long wait on the bay. But you can use the shop to buy very nice and cheap cakes
