Just had a beautiful family meal here. All of us thoroughly enjoyed the roast meat,mixed grill,burger,and fish pie.Everything greatly enhanced by the lovely staff,especially the delighful Lithuanian,Geddie,who has the most amazing smile- wish I was 40 years younger!!.Thank you everyone! Xx
This established tavern has been virtually unchanged for years.You are given a menu and a table number then prepay for your meal.The menu is varied but lacks a selection of fresh fish.The steaks are expensive.I tried a filet which was "medium " but I wasn't asked how it was to be cooked!Everything comes with veg and chips/potatoes.There is a range of starters and meals typical of "pub grub".The wine list is average. This place does what it has always done but lacks any healthy options.
I went here for lunch with my sister. We both chose the lamb shank off the specials board. It was fantastic. One of the best meals I have ever had.
We visit here a couple of times a year when we have a family get together and it never disappoints. The gourmet burger is my go to and is thoroughly enjoyable. The only thing that bugs me is that the sauces are brought round in little dishes and then taken away again, which can be very annoying with kids who go through ketchup at a rate of knots.
Clean and nice decor. Food was appetizing and nicely presented. Only negative was the feeling of being rushed in deciding what to order. Would try again despite being a negative.
