A great bus train interchange
It's a nice open space style of bus station, with a shop, cash machine, travel information point, and a busy Greggs Coffee shop. The bus departures are shown on both electronic display boards and by posters. I guess that means old and new people alike will manage to find the times they need.It is very very clean. But with too many steps including the staircase to the tunnel towards the Rail Station. There is a lift but I would have thought escalators would have been installed. That's where this very nice part of Bolton Interchange looses a point.
Great modern bus station, huge improvement on the last. Always freezing cold though. And no options for coffee or warm food, apart from Gregg's, which is extremely limited, especially for those who are health conscious or have dietary restrictions. Disappointing.They do have a shop there but it's very limited. Good that its connected to the train station though.

This bus station is very nice, but it is far too nice looking for Bolton itself, I like the fact that you can see how long the bus is coming to your stop. However it is not often accurate as the buses can still come late. Good choice for a cafeteria in Gregg's. It does seem like an airport, but overall my first impressions are good
