Sadly this is a very low rating for our visit to the cinema yesterday evening. Yes it was a cold night, however Screen 6 was positively Baltic !! In comparison to a reasonably warm foyer. Several of our fellow viewers had shared with the staff the conditions within, which the pleasant staff seemed to be aware of stating it was a technical problem. We opera lovers, all huddled in our coats for this brilliant live streaming of La Traviata, by the second interval there was a great need for a hot drink, unfortunately the coffee machine had been turned off and so we had to settle for a not too hot, in my case, cup of weak coffee from a "kettle".The staff as always were polite and very friendly and we do enjoy going to this cinema which has comfy seats, ample leg room and is clean, however we also need to sit in warmth. I did ring Light cinema this morning to be told that they are aware of the problem...... so please sort it out.Five stars +++ to Royal Opera House. Just one star to Light cinema Bolton
Great cinema with lovely staff, it has quickly become my favourite cinema in the area.It's a shame however that they don't have Imax screens, as this would make it perfect.However it is difficult to have that much space in a location as central as theirs, so I won't hold it against them.Keep up the good work
This is quite a new cinema that's been wonderfully and sympathetically amalgamated into the old Bolton Market Hall. It now sits above a shopping center and the escalator up to the cinema provides a great sense of anticipation for the film you are about to see.With only 9 screens, it's not a massive cinema but the seats are really comfortable and the space is lovely. This is currently my favourite cinema and I look forward to seeing the next big movie there.
