A variety of things to learn about ranging from the history of Bolton, to the history of Egypt. Plants and animals. A little bit for everyone to enjoy really and there's even some dressing up trunks for kids on the way around. I especially enjoyed the unknown man in the ancient Egypt section. There's also a gift shop if you want any little souvenirs such as figures, pens and toys or even homemade jewellery.
Bolton museum is brilliant. Lots to see and best interesting. Also got a aquarium part which is great. Free in. Kids really enjoyed it.
Lovely experience for kids and adults alike. I remember some of the exhibits from over 30 years ago and how excited they made me feel, especially the mummy. Now watching my children in awe is equally as exciting.Lovely job with the refurb.
The refurbishement has given to the museum new sparkle! We were really surprised and enjoyed here a great day out over Christmas' holidays. Will definitely come back again soon
An excellent free facility which provides information and engagement for all ages. The newly refurbished Egyptology section is fantastic with great information provided and the staff who helped our two young daughters to make masks in the history of Bolton secrion were brilliant. The aquarium was a favourite of mine when I was younger and used to come with my grandfather and it remains a firm favourite today.
