Emergency service is disgraceful, came in with struggles to breathe and been placed to a blue non urgent area, 4 hours in - still waiting, but worst is that I can see doctor going for a smoke every half an hour but taking patient every 2 hours.. is he doing surgeries there? Don't think so just taking his time, because what's it up to him if he sees 12 people or 2 per shift - same wage.. Hard working NHS that's what everybody thinks - think again.
Went being induced, they were under staffed, so I spent most of my labour on the induction ward, when I finally went down to labour ward my son was born he wasnt Breathing. As soon as the midwife pressed the buzzer they all came rushing in and began resuscitating my baby they worked on him for 5 minutes which felt like a lifetime. My point is, they may have been under staffed but when my baby needed them they were there and they saved his life. Eternally grateful to the staff on the maternity & labour ward. He is now a healthy 5 month old
Laughs aplenty and singing too! Can't fault any of the staff. Excellent attitude.
As a person born in Bolton i have used Bolton royal hospital on various different times for both accidents and medical procedure's and never once have i had a bad experience from a doctor or any nurse who has treated in more than fifty + years.Just what more could I say as I have just received a top notch treatment once again at this hospital.Staff rated at 10 out of ten.With a laugh a minute while being treated.
The mother and baby unit are absolutely fantastic with you. The neonatal unit for small or premature babies are absolutely fantastic as well especially with all of the small babies. All the other departments could use some work on them. A&E could definitely do with A lot of work though especially when it comes to waiting times, especially when it comes to waiting anything from 30 minutes just to be seen by the first person on what's wrong with you.
