Took my watch in for a repair and was told it would be fixed in a weeks time. When I asked how much it would cost I was told 22. I left a 10 so when I returned the week after presumed I owed 12, but no I was then told it was 48.80 instead. This is an absolute joke and rip off. Who would even pay this for a battery. I told them theres no way I would of left my watch with them if I knew this price. If my watch wasnt designer I would of left it at that price. Avoid at all cost!!!!

Had a replacement battery put in my TW Steel watch in March 2016.I left the watch with them and returned an hour later to collect the watch. I am surprised that the employee wasn't wearing a mask when taking my money for the replacement - around 12!I write this review now, only 5 months later, with a watch that no longer works as the batter is depleted. Prior to this Time Piece issued battery, the previous one i had fitted was in Chorley at the covered market which lasted a number of years. Absolutely shocking and disappointed.

Two years ago I bought my wife a Skagen watch from Time Piece. We were pleased with the service and the price was good for a slim and stylish Danish ladies watch. However, today while we were in town we called to have a new battery fitted, which was done in two or three minutes. We were so stunned when we were then charged the unbelievable price of 8.99, for a quick and simple button cell replacement on a watch with a flick-off back that we paid up and didn't complain there and then, having been treated so cordially when we originally bought the watch. Since branded button-cell batteries are widely available for a pound or two or even less, after we left the Time Piece kiosk and had time to reflect, we called at Carter Jewellers in Market Place and asked what they would charge for the same job and they said for a Skagen watch typically between 4.99 and 5.99. We also noticed while we were at Time Piece that the watches on display looked distinctly lack-lustre compared with those on display when we made our original purchase. I like to support local shops when I can but not if I think I'm being ripped off. Needless to say, we won't be visiting Time Piece again in a hurry.
