Very interesting historical home with the history of the spinning jenny and lots of old artefacts. Well worth a visit but check the times as it has limited opening. It's free to visit and also good place to take kids.

Such a little gem, very interesting place loved it here. Very friendly staff x

A gem in an unusual location. Staff very friendly and informative. I'll take any future visitors there.

Another amazing house in the Bolton area which incidentally is free of charge. It sends to open on the days when Smithills hall is closed. It is the home of the Cromptons who invented the spinning Jenny.

Beautiful building . Really atmospheric. Interesting industrial history too with Compton's link. Helpful staff. Free too!!
