The staff are friendly and the kids love the Santa train, we go every year. The whole experience is magical, from all the lights in the station to singing Xmas carols on the train.
They do some really fantastic train trips. I took my in-laws on a 3-course lunch trip on a steam train and it was an experience we all loved. I would highly recommend this as a venue for people visiting Manchester.
The station is exactly how stations used to be, it is amazing to be able to use the same platforms that parents and grandparents used to stand upon in the railways heyday. The staff are very friendly, polite and professional. The station is kept clean and tidy. It is certainly well worth a visit for everyone no matter what your age may be.
The staff are pleasant and polite and helpful. The old stream and diesel engines are kept in immaculate condition. Lovely, a must visit if you get the chance.
Excellent heritage railway station. Like the way that modern additions have been blended with the original stations material. Long platforms afford excellent photo opportunities even when busy.
